Project 1 - Building Plans/ Fire-Fighting Plan
In a group of 5, we are to choose a previous (semester 5) studio project from which we need to produce a set of working drawings utilising all the formats and conventions of working drawings as they applied in contemporary architecture practice. As I have never fully participate in producing a complete set of working drawings before, I did research and obtained knowledge from the other groupmates and as a group establish the understanding of statutory requirements from the authorities amd fire safety guidelines, and of the structural system, building services, materials and other relevant technology. In this project I am assigned to draw the back elevation. References: UBBL (Uniform Building By-Laws), local fire regulations.
Project 2 - Working Drawing: Construction/ Technical Drawing
In accordance to Architecture Design Project final individual project, we are to produce a set of drawings comprising a section, an elevation, a full height wall secytion, two construction details, staircase details and toilet details.Through this project, I am able to apply visual communication methods to clearly convey the design that I came up with. I had also been able to develop an understanding and is more aware of the legislations and its relationship to working drawings. I am able to develop and design details side by side with the design projec, and in the end produced detailed drawings of floor sections from a selected portion of my project and also annotate it with suitable specifications.
