In this project, we made a 1:50 model for tea pavilion, from which we would have to develop later on for our tea house. The tea pavilion should be within 3x3x3 in dimension. We chose Moroccan tea as our culture. I found that Moroccan tea culture is very unique and has distinctive features which made it interesting. From the culture we picked up the concept of repititive patterns, which is the main feature of Moroccan architecture. After constructing a few concept models, we decided to develop the model made from straws. The straws resembled the 'foam' which is present on top of a cup of Moroccan tea. Our structure is also movable. It can be opened by 'pulling' the two straw structures apart. The act of pulling itself is a part of the Moroccan tea drinking ceremony.

From this procect I learned how to organize a simple space and design a space within a given area. I also learnt more about conceptualisation of a space. I understood that crafting a model and produce drawings are the most important part of the design process for this module.
